An artist-in-residence in Oxtandio on “- the workers movement lacks a fatherland”. With a starting point in the Spanish civil war and its repercussions on the village Oxtandio - historically and today - the notion of nationalism is examined from a Basquian perspective, reflected upon from a Swedish perspective. This is an ongoing collaboration with Eva Bygren (script writer). Together we have gathered documentation through visits at places that has gained significance in stories and myths, i.e. important places in relationship to the civil war and its consecutive history. We interviewed activists and relatives of living and deceased activists. We have collected myths, gossip, make-believe, art works and documentary historic events.
